Im going to judge people on their words until they produce actions on which to judge them. Expecting their actions to be the complete opposite of what they say does not seem logicalGlad we have all formally judged an outcome that hasn’t happened yet.
The European Union also isn't in the same league as the US, China, India and even Russia....
Because they have so much disunity and they are incapable of acting as a cohesive force. A stronger and more united Europe might be one positive that emerges from all of this.
But an awful lot of folks out there, many on the more-right-end of the spectrum, were also happy to wonder why UKR was getting all this help when it didn’t seem to be doing any good - with Trump among those keener in backing the bully instead of the bullied, and many taking their cue from thatAgreed. War should be avoided at all costs. And when its begun, it needs to conducted with a brutal and violent efficiency and complete concentration of the nation.

Like with a lot of GOP things lately, I can see some still happy to unquestioningly follow & support the tribe, and others wonder why they didn’t do better as a team given the chance to do so.
Well one surprise was that Vance did a semi decent job of walking back the damage that PH and DJT did.But an awful lot of folks out there, many on the more-right-end of the spectrum, were also happy to wonder why UKR was getting all this help when it didn’t seem to be doing any good - with Trump among those keener in backing the bully instead of the bullied, and many taking their cue from that

Wrong. Trump just wants the US$ secured. Europe secured its support to Ukr through loan guarantees. The US did no such thing, until now as Trump negotiates security in the form of resources. But an awful lot of folks out there, many on the more-right-end of the spectrum, were also happy to wonder why UKR was getting all this help when it didn’t seem to be doing any good - with Trump among those keener in backing the bully instead of the bullied, and many taking their cue from that

True to a point, not all of the EU support was tied to guarantees. The way DJT publicly presented it looks very poor to an external audience, but he’s acting to his base, and a lot of his actions need to be viewed from the lens of who is acting to.Wrong. Some days, that's a low bar, though.Well one surprise was that Vance did a semi decent job of walking back the damage that PH and DJT did.
Can we agree at least on the fact DJT communicates with a hammer and his back office follows up with the scalpel later?True to a point, not all of the EU support was tied to guarantees. If you mean Chernobyl, it's occupied by RUS troops, where RUS says UKR is endangering by shooting at it, and UKR says RUS says vice versa…ah, so UKR has a/some radiological device(s)…
Still early days, and I'm betting on RUS being able to finagle more than just a "DEAL deal". After all, RUS also said they wouldn't attack UKR once they got rid of their nukes, too. Time will tell, but my loonie's going on the "UKR's screwed" square for now - glad to be wrong, though.Hence the hasty Russian “Ukraine won’t sit with us when we discuss them” back-track…

I'm starting to wonder if having nuclear weapons should be an option for us.....if the 'New World Order' is being burned to the ground by Trump and its back to pre-1914, then we (Canada) need to pivot, get our head out of our ass and learn to think long-term strategically. If you mean Chernobyl, it's occupied by RUS troops, where RUS says UKR is endangering by shooting at it, and UKR says RUS says vice versa
