I spent 2 minutes trying to figure out which language she was speaking.... then I realised it really was English :-S

I remember during my first visit to the School of Cool in Gagetown the British Major (Maj Weighell) played a video set to that Status Quo tune, but it was a 3 Para training video, and it was pretty intense stuff to watch.  He set it up as being a reminder of just what it was we were there for, something like that.  Now they use the US video set to POD's "Messenger", which isn't a bad video either - definetely less brutal.  I'm going to ask a Russian-speaking friend what the heck that guy was singing about in the Russian vid.

Blue and yellow epaulettes + blue berets + Russian flags on uniform equals VDV troops of the Russian Army.  Actually, they're VDV Cadets apparently, for the most part.  The singer's name I've misplaced.  It's just a music video, sort of a a patriotic/propaganda piece for the one of the Russian Army's airborne units.  The lyrics are the usual pomp.
