US Presidential Election 2024 - Trump vs Harris - Vote Hard with a Vengence

If you ever wanted an example of Left influence in schools, a Halifax are school hold my beer. And regrets it.

I saw this and the RCL should voice its opinion like it goes to court to stop the use of the poppy on non sanctioned things......

And this sort of garbage from school boards across the country continually rears its head. Pick an occasion, pick a topic. It's little wonder Ontario's Ford at one time mused about abolishing them.

So…back on topic:

It’s been three days since the election (2 since the result). Some folks were predicting rioting by the Left if they lost.

Plenty of activists on all sides use things like school boards to push political agendas. It’s a newish phenomenon as it is an easy entry point into politics.

Most people can’t even name their board rep and the list of candidates is normally small if not limited to 1 person who gets acclaimed.

No one cares enough when it counts so they get in.

Maybe Jan 6th? Since that tradition was set last time?

The vitriol from the 2020 election started on election night and rose until that point.

Harris and the rest of the Dem party isn’t complained that the 2024 election was rigged. Most of the left leaning media is “how did we lose” and looking for reasons (some of them incorrect but whatever), not “this was rigged!!!”

The overall sense is sad but slightly smug “I told you so” when there are social media stories about the effects of even the hint of tariffs affecting prices and jobs.

Trump had lawsuits ready to go, especially against PA which weirdly enough, we didn’t hear about after the election result. 🤔

Your consistency is impressive.

No "riots" but there certainly are protests going on.

Really ? Honestly I haven't seen anything...

And I thought Harris's concession speech was mature, statesman like and well said.

The result when you shift your focus from blue collar to golf shirt ;)

The Democrats lost because they ran a weak and out of touch campaign

The party, increasingly divorced from workers, leaned too much on an activist base instead of a voting base

I turned on MSNBC after the election results came in and this, verbatim, was the commentary I heard: “This really was a historic, flawlessly run campaign. She had Queen Latifah [who] never endorses anyone! She had every prominent celebrity voice, she had the Taylor Swifties, she had the Beyhive. You could not run a better campaign in that short period of time.” Democrats, it seems, are already blaming their defeat this week on a host of contingent factors and not on their own shortcomings.

I’m sure a 25% (and escalating) tariff with Mexico won’t negatively affect the US border states (especially Texas) at all, especially since Mexico produces many of the constituent parts for US-assembled items.

It was, except she plagiarized Clinton's concession speech. Not that it matters, but true to form right up to the end. She still gets to preside over Trump’s certification hearing in the House, confirming him as POTUS. Kinda like presiding at your own funeral.🙂

The stunning loss is still sinking in on the left. There is still plenty of time for rioting over the next four years. With luck, they've finally given up on that tact. At least for now. Although there is some anti-Trump protests, by anti-Israel supporters in Chicago and Berkley, happening currently.

In other news, after people like Cuban complaining about how he won't surround himself with women, especially smart ones, Trump has made his first appointment. Sue Wiles has been appointed COS. A smart, capable female.

The whole idea is to make it too expensive for a manufacturer to deal with the tariff and to move their plants and processes back to the US. Then Texas won't have to worry about Mexico.😉

Tariffs work for some things. Strategic things. Or for retaliatory measures. Across the board tariffs is a recipe for disaster.
