Only FOB Ukrainians still call them varenyky at least in Manitoba haha. My ethnically Ukrainian family only called them perogies or pyrohy.

Also keep in mind that a lot of the minorities in small villages, etc. their families tend not to get paid out simply because they have no way of knowing they have no way of effective complaining when they don’t get paid out, etc.
