I found a G and M article (or part there of) that seems to indicate there was tension between Harper and the out going BoC G Mark Carney. There are others such as Brian Lilley (reporter who has close ties to Harper crew) that said he never heard it.

I love it. The more Carney speaks, the more people are like "No way, never" Especially after he admitted he was a globalist and stated that is what Canada needs.

i wonder if Carney can go higher or if hes maxed out? Going to take a look but national CPC numbers are probably bumped up by AB/SK so their electoral importance might be diminished

most polling don’t reflect him as leader yet. Some parties will poll higher without leaders at times so it may go up but could very well go down too.
