For those of you who didn’t have the time or inclination watch the JCCF have a go at Mr Trudeau for prorogation of Parliament, todays arguments before the court ended with the government stating that Canadians have no constitutional right to effective representation through a sitting Parliament so long as there is a government formed through Parliament. [Obviously haven’t read the Charter, and even if it was true then front runner Carney is not yet part of Parliament so …. For example Carney right now has the same political status as Maxine Bernier and it should stay that way until he is elected both to lead the party and holds a seat in Parliament.]
They made this assertion after conceding that the Liberal Party of Canada is a private organization and that whoever heads that organization is also a private matter for members only. Even the Judge noted that the LPC could change its leadership privately without prorogation so why approach the GG without a sound Parliamentary reason.
They are done. After that, if this rotten house if cards does not collapse we deserve to be a province of Zimbabwe.
Hopefully we’ve see our last prorogation for personal and political preservation ever.
Disgusting.
Did someone pull a fire alarm yesterday too ?
