American ship names are as boring as our AOPS.

If any of the Rivers are to be used, it should be the previously serving namesakes from the WWII era and Cold War classes. I would say something like:

Kootenay, Gatineau, Annapolis, Saguenay, Skeena, St. Laurent, Assiniboine, Mackenzie, Margaree, Chaudière, Restigouche, Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Fraser and Nipigon.

Technically the Cyclone is not an ASW helicopter, it’s a Maritime Helicopter. In the CONOPs ASuW and ASW are equal. Which is important, because those long range surface to surface missiles can’t be used without targeting.
