what open?

Hi

Ive been reading some posts any one post said there was nothing really open, however the official forces site still lists both occupations I'm interested in medic and nurse, if i was to call would they be able to tell me if they are still open or do they give that out? Ive been working for a year now to get my pre regs in order and I think i would be crushed if i got told i was to late lol

Call the CFRC and they will be able to give you the most up to date information. The website is much better than it used to be but things change so fast, it is impossible to keep it that up to date.

The CFRC will be able to you if they are open today.  They will not be able to tell you if they will be open at the time you complete your applicant process (or how long that might take for any individual).

Applicants to the GEO TECH occupation must have completed Qualification Level 4 (or equivalent) in another military occupation or all apprenticeship requirements in a civilian trade

A bunch of the Sigs trades are getting amalgamated. So, you may want to do a search on the site or drop by the recruiting centre. LCIS will, if all goes as Ottawa has planned, cease to exist as a stand alone trade. Depending on who you ask this may be a good or bad thing.
