Urban Legends of the Military

This was partially inspired by Major Baker who constantly strives to debunk any urban legends that we Canadians have regarding our neighbours to the south. Feel free to add.
1) The military does not pay taxes (I wish)
2) The military buys each member a new car every couple of years. (I am overdue for mine)
3) Members of the CF don‘t have to pay for booze. (In a perfect world maybe).

4) Free housing;
5) Free rations (field notwithstanding);
6) 404‘s allow you to drive personal vehicles without a provincial licence;
7) $10 flights to Hawaii (whoo hoo!)...
