Trump administration 2024-2028

Nice clap back Mr. PM. Oregon and Washington State are pretty nice too BTW ;)

Trudeau asked Trump for California, Vermont to curb annexation talks

Danish intelligence accused Russia of forging a letter from Greenland's foreign minister to Cotton in October 2019, during President-elect Donald Trump's first term in office.

The letter purportedly sent by Greenland's foreign minister to Cotton asked the senator for money to fund a referendum on Greenland's independence from Denmark.

The Danish Security and Intelligence Service ultimately concluded in 2022 that the 2019 letter was forged, with Russia the likely culprit. An intelligence report from Denmark assessed that Moscow wanted to sow discord between Denmark, the U.S. and Greenland. Moscow refuted the allegations in an email to Reuters.

Cotton himself in August 2019 said he raised the idea of the U.S. acquiring Greenland with Trump.

One of Trump's Administrators?

A senior Israeli diplomat told Haaretz: “Witkoff isn’t a diplomat. He doesn’t talk like a diplomat, he has no interest in diplomatic manners and diplomatic protocols.

“He’s a businessman who wants to reach a deal quickly and charges ahead unusually aggressively.”

The call last week from Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy was reportedly blunt and short on diplomatic nicety.

Steven Witkoff is said to have told aides to Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, that he was headed to Israel on Saturday afternoon.

When informed that would be in the middle of the sabbath, but the prime minister could meet in the evening, his reply was apparently “salty” and clear, according to Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper.

The sabbath did not interest Mr Witkoff, the aides were told.

Mr Netanyahu duly went to his office to meet the US envoy, who afterwards jetted back to Qatar to push further on a ceasefire deal to end the war in Gaza.

Responding to the urgent need for revenue following the American Revolutionary War, the First United States Congress passed and President George Washington signed the Tariff Act of July 4, 1789, which authorized the collection of duties on imported goods. Four weeks later, on July 31, the fifth act of Congress established the United States Customs Service and its ports of entry.

As part of this new government agency, a new role was created for government officials which was known as "Customs Collector". In this role, one person would have responsibility to supervise the collection of custom duties in a particular city or region, such as the Collector of the Port of New York.

For over 100 years after it was founded, the U.S. Customs Service was the primary source of funds for the entire government, paying for the country's early growth and infrastructure. Purchases include the Louisiana and Oregon territories; Florida and Alaska; funding the National Road and the Transcontinental Railroad; building many of the nation's lighthouses; the U.S. Military and Naval academies, and Washington, D.C.

I reckon we better ditch that tanker moratorium and start work on the Western Energy Corridor from Prince Rupert to Churchill....

Trudeau already had Quebec blocking Energy East, so he just needed to ban movement off the West Coast, with a compliant Obama/Biden stymying the flow south. Trudeau is the most destructive PM in Canadian history, worked against national interests. Imagine how that energy could be helping other countries right now while subsidizing many of Canada's nice-to-haves.

Don't forget the involvement of US money in organizing the campaigns that locked us in. Might be useful to remind Trump of the money his country has cost us.

…except that little tidbit that the US Dept of Commerce already does that job. So which one will DOGE cut as “waste”? :ROFLMAO:

But hey, he’s not calling the “pathetically weak trade agreements” as subsidies anymore. Maybe he can learn…
Setting the narrative stage for that sweet, sweet revenue stream - effects on the population be damned - or more trolling? You be the judge ...

And, for the record, The Report ...

I gotta hand it to Putin and his GRU minions. If nothing else, they know what gets Trump all excited and turned on. And I wouldn’t be surprised if The Donald even comes up with a special military group for taking over Greenland, the Panama Canal and Canada: The Donald Trump Salivation Army.
