I was looking at Salary chart from Canadian Forces web site.....

Does it mean that starting salary for a Private is 2218 per month?  or it is more (allowances etc.)...

yes, it is $2218 per month. you are payed bi-weekly. at the middle and end of each month. of course that's 2218 BEFORE taxes, rations and quarters, pension, insurance etc... :crybaby:
but you do get some extras for "field time" :soldier: or temporary deployment  :warstory: and LTA (leave travel assistance once a year)  these are the three things new  recruits  can expect to see in there first year. they are bonuses though and should not be counted on.


i was lucky enough to have signing incentives so i jumped to Pte 3.
