Or the NDHQ signature block for a civilian that includes their former rank (retired) in it...
Not common, but it does happen...Thats a thing ?
Did they add a CD as a post-nominal?
Better yet, CD1 or CD2 for the incorrect win!
…and degrees…Add post-nominals for the Order of St John for extra points
At least I can say that I definitely have not addd my CAF postnominals to my cop signature block. I literally had a colleague tell me I should just a few weeks ago.Did they add a CD as a post-nominal?

I can see you getting beaten up at lunch time if you did…At least I can say that I definitely have not addd my CAF postnominals to my cop signature block. I literally had a colleague tell me I should just a few weeks ago.
What’s the etiquette on this? I’m not in the CD club. I assumed it was supposed to be done- not CD1 or 2 though. At least I can say that I definitely have not addd my CAF postnominals to my cop signature block. I literally had a colleague tell me I should just a few weeks ago.

Correct, @Booter. There is only one proper post-nominal…’CD.’ CD1, CD2, CDx are all incorrect as format post-nominals.I assumed it was supposed to be done- not CD1 or 2 though.

You earned them and at least one surely wasn't a 'gimme". So, why not?I work with an S.C., and also with an M.B. with bar, and that’s just in my immediate section. So I’d look like a bit of a wiener if I tried to throw mine around.
I have a lot of vets on my team and I think it nicely bridges the gap between the blue and green worlds. No real etiquette issue; I wouldn’t actually be in the wrong to. I just don’t want it to look like a “look at me”.
I have my CD post nominal in mine. It’s come in handy a few times at work. Both when I was at DND and where I am now. Most people have no idea what it is but when they do it’s normally because they have a CAF background and it does create a bit of a commonality that helps in conversations and create rapport.
I didn’t do it for a while until someone explained how it could be useful in certain circumstances.
As a former Brigade member and Superintendent, I get twitchy when I see that - we were explicitly told it's only supposed to be used for business related to the Order. I have it on my CV in brackets. I laugh when I see folks on LinkedIn using it in non-SJA related stuff...one in particular, who also uses Dr as a prefix but doesn't have the degree after their name, but their KSJ is listed...and I'm pretty sure they're a PhD in something and not an MD/DO/DDS.Add post-nominals for the Order of St John for extra points
I saw a video from inside the store. Looks clean to me. The stabber had an employee trapped and cornered. Police tried a taser, it failed, guy wouldn’t move away, they shot and dropped him. Clearly acting to protect life.Nice work, troops!
Canadian police say stabbing suspect shot dead by police in Vancouver
A stabbing suspect is dead after being shot by police in a convenience store in the Canadian city of Vancouver, police said.
Witnesses say a man stole liquor and a knife from a restaurant then used the weapon across the street to stab people in a 7-Eleven store.
“One of the kitchen guys came out, asked if he could help him, and the guy grabbed the knife and asked him if he wanted to die,” said Kylie Noel, who was working at the Original Joe’s restaurant at Robson and Hamilton streets in downtown Vancouver on Wednesday.
Her co-worker then told her to call police.
Video later captured by Mainul Islam, a student and part-time food delivery worker, shows police pointing their guns over the counter of the 7-Eleven, shouting at someone to “move over,” then firing at least 10 times.
