This month's contest takes things in a whole new direction.
Throughout the month I'll post trivia questions about the site, military history, current affairs and occasionally something quirky. The first correct response to each question will be eligible for a random draw at the end of the month. Four names will be drawn to receive a $20 CPGear gift certificate each.
Now here's the twist: The contest questions will be posted via Twitter, and mixed in with site announcements, statistics, and interesting or unusual facts.

What is Twitter?
It's a social media tool for sharing short, often frequent status updates and news. See http://www.twitter.com.
How do I get started?

How do I make sure my response qualifies for the draw?
Once you see a question appear on the twitter feed, click "reply" and enter your answer after the "@mike_bobbitt". (If "@mike_bobbitt" isn't in the reply window, something went wrong... try again!) Note that replies cannot be longer than 140 characters, and I'll keep that in mind when I phrase the questions... There will be no essay responses.
If yours was the first correct response, you're in the draw!
Do I need a twitter account?
Yes... guests can't reply to tweets.
How can I get updates quickly?
The fastest way to see questions as they are posted is to 'follow' me. Once you have an account, simply go to my twitter page and click the 'follow' button. From there you can visit www.twitter.com to see updates, use RSS, SMS or any number of other acronyms to stay current.
When will the questions appear?
Questions can appear at any time... Stay tuned?
How many questions will there be total?
Honestly, I don't know. I have some prepared already but many will be posted as and when I think of them. I can promise lots of chances to win though!
Why use twitter for this?
A few reasons... it's a different way to encourage participation, and it's very easy for me to provide quick updates and announcements. This contest is a bit of a social experiment to see how well Twitter works for this sort of thing.
Why would I want to join Twitter for this?
Prizes. Beyond that, I'm going to try to make at least some of the updates informative or entertaining. It could be fun, and who knows - you may learn something!
