I'll admit I have next to no knowledge of how the rangers operate, which is why I asked those questions.
No, I didnt think it would make much sense that they would just leave their unit after doing a rangers course and especially after all the time and money they have invested with their home units. Thats why I asked the question because I was thinking why would they take a rangers course without the intention of being a ranger afterwards. But its been clarified that they take this course for learning leadership skills and for the training only.
