Where are the mortars?

As someone that needs to pick a posting soon, I was wondering about the mortar troop in Petawawa.
Is its own troop, or is it a secondary job of the guys on the guns?
How many troops are there in Petawawa?
And anything else you can throw at me....

I left pet last summer but I believe the mortars are evenly distributed between the battery's (one per detatchment) and are used more as a secondary role to the LG1.There was rumour of making a mortar battery but im not sure if it went through.

You should like pet as it is a great training base.UBIQUE

Well here out west we it this way..... Mortars are split between two bty's,  A and C.  A Bty is mounted in Wolves (or will be) and us in (what we jokingly say)  C company (really a BTY)  we are dismounted.  Primary system is the LG1 but we tend to fucos more on mortars.

for right now the mortars are currently with d battery which in turn is the mortar battery within 2 rcha there was talk of them being a secondary role but for now that doesn't exist.
