When to apply

I am currently in high school and will be graduating in June 2016, I want to join the infantry but I would like to have one more summer before going to basic training.  If I want to start basic at the end of the summer approximately when should I start my application process?

Application processing times vary and no two applications are processed at the same rate.

We generally recommend, that for those currently attending school, to submit their application at the beginning of their final semester prior to graduating or completing there studies, which is approximately "6-months" in advance of when they would be available for an offer of employment.
