Hey, I just wanted to toss a question out to you guys about the BIQ/QL3. I was wondering if anyone had information regarding the specifics of the course content as indicated in the pam (ie. what we get tested on and such).

By the way, Cambrian Patrol rules! Good job boys this year in Wales!

Thanks for the input.

The DP1 Infantry course, commonly referred to as the BIQ (Basic Infantry Qualification) is 22 or 43 training days long (Primary Reserve and Regular Force versions).  Before being course loaded, you must have completed SQ.

The course is broken down into the following components: C7 Rifle and M203A1, 60 mm Mortar (light role), Fieldcraft, Dismounted Offensive Operations, Patrolling and Dismounted Defensive Operations.  Additionally, Regular Force courses will do (it's considered supplemental for Reserves): SRAAW(H), Airmobile Operations, additional dismounted ops, intro to the LAV, Regimental History and Combat PT (unarmed combat).

Hope this is of some help.
