Weapon Cleaning

Good post Red 6. NOw e have reason to not clean weapons with solvents, sand, scouring powder etc.
Too bad some people refuse to listen to good advice.

I'll second Red 6's remarks.  I never used a varasol bath on my rifle.  Just good old fashoned cleaning with CLP and some dentist's tools removed all of the visible "inspection failure" bits of carbon.

any of you guys have experience getting CLP in the eye? I accidently shoot a bunch of CLP in my eye :-[


Is it particularly dangerous? i just used the eye rinsing bottle for a few minutes but thats about it.
