US Presidential Election 2024 - Trump vs Harris - Vote Hard with a Vengence

"I will concede that comparing Trump to Hitler and to MAGA as Nazis is not an accurate comparison. Calling the rally at MSG a "Nazi rally" is also, inaccurate. Clearly, the Democrats are inflaming the situation for political expediency, and as someone who wishes for everyone to call a spade a spade, I disagree with this tactic. It's like calling every civilian death anywhere "genocide". It's cheapens the word."
And then you go on to do exactly that. Can you be any more hypocritical?

Actually, I didn't do that. I used the example of how one fascist regime came to power as an example of how it could happen again. That's not the same thing.

Every single point can be nullified by switching out republican for democrat and Trump for Biden, Obama, Harris or Clinton, to name a few.

I've yet to see a single video of a Harris support spotting a Trump support and then flipping the bird and yelling "HARRIS 2024! Fuck you fucking conservating!", but I've seen many such videos of Trump supports doing just that (cult of personality).

I've yet to see Harris or any of those refer to the media as "the enemy of the people." (control of the media)

I've yet to see Harris or any of the others refer to central american countries as shitholes, refer to COVID as the "Kung Flu", refer to immigrants as "animals" and as "poisoning the blood of our country", call for a ban on immigration based solely on religion, say that laziness is a trait of black people, refer to jews as "short guys that wear yarmulkes all day", etc, etc, etc. (Racism and Xenophobia).

I mean, I could go on, but you absolutely cannot simply swap out the names and get the same results.

The only ones questioning the integrity of democracy and encouraging a mindset rejecting democratic principles is Lumber and those that support his premise.
In what way did I question the integrity of democracy? I think the democratic process in the states is one of the best in the world, and as I've stated before, the last election was the single most watched, reviewed, and audited election the entire world anywhere ever.

And just what democratic principles exactly am I rejecting?

The US is a republic. It's right in their Pledge of Allegiance.

'I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands.'

Why would anyone describe it otherwise.

I'm not sure where this came from. Where did I say anywhere that the US was not a republic?

Just so we're clear, I'll say it: "America is a Republic, a form of representative democracy."

If you've seen nothing of the sort from the democrats, you're living under a rock. They have moved to their final pre election stance, of vilifying and mischaracterisation of all things Trump and republicans. They have nothing left, people are neither listening or agreeing. Tons and tons of examples out there. Start with the Clinton screes. Quit watching Morning Joe and the View. Broaden your horizons and quit campaigning from the basement.

Did he lose all 60 lawsuits or were many dismissed on lack of standing?

You have to concede that challenging elections has a long history on both sides of the aisle in the US. And arguably much more effort was put into fraudulently influencing electoral outcomes in 2020.
Being determined by the court to lack standing is one of the myriad ways to lose a lawsuit/judicial review. He and his team explored a lot of those ways. What they were utterly unable to do was to achieve any success in these 60+ legal acts. They were so bad at it, and so vexatious, that some of his lawyers then had to get lawyers, and some of them don’t get to lawyer anymore.

When your legal campaign achieves nothing but sanctions and disbarments, you were not on any sound legal footing. The courts and various state bars take a dim view of those who attempt to pervert the judicial process in advancing their fictions of a stolen election.

Bruh, the point of this site and this thread and all this dialogue is not to actually change people's minds but to educate ourselves/each other, experience new perspectives, and challenge our preconceptions. Trust me, I have no illusions about changing your mind on anything.

And look, if your only response to my claims that Trump and the MAGA crowd are fascists is simply to say "but what about the Dems?!" and not to actually challenge my claim with examples/reasoned out justifications, then maybe it's you that needs to broaden your horizons.

Also, I don't watch Morning Joe or the View.

Whatever floats your boat and I'm not your bruh.

I also find it curious that the MAGA supporter/mouth pieces use the “The US isn’t a democracy, it’s a republic” argument quite a bit to justify those various things.
Spelled “occupied country” incorrectly ;)

Concluding some litigation that started when RFK ended his campaign and endorsed Trump: SCOTUS has just ruled that RFK will remain in the presidential ballot in Michigan (15 electoral votes) and Wisconsin (10 electoral votes), where he had sought to have his name removed. Both states are among the seven key battlegrounds that will determine the election.

Not sure if any recent polling has explored this, but last I recall, RFK is likely to take more votes from Trump supporters than Harris. No idea how significant this will be, but no doubt it’s an unwelcome decision for Trump.

The best line wasn’t even about the MSG rally.

Joe Rogan Addresses Claims YouTube Censoring Donald Trump Interview

"
Rogan also reposted a post by David Heinemeier Hansson, CTO of software company Basecamp and racing driver, who wrote: "Tried to find the Rogan/Trump interview on YouTube but no matter what I search, it's not coming up. Would be beyond bonkers if they're actively trying to suppress it. Must be a glitch, right?" His post included a video of Rogan-Trump clips appearing in YouTube's search results, but not showing the full episode of the podcast.

"For some searches on Monday the original 3-hour interview didn't appear prominently," YouTube said in a statement seen by Variety. "Short excerpts uploaded by the Joe Rogan channel appeared, but we know it was frustrating for users looking to find the full video. We've worked to resolve this and viewers will begin seeing the full podcast in more YouTube search results soon"

It would appear QV was right.

I think she sums him up pretty well.

The line about lying about Tiananmen Square (which isn’t expanded upon, but it follows his anniversary date of June 4) is…interesting.

Do we even count this one as a foreign government info op targeting the election, or do the Chinese government get it as a freebie for how utterly blatant it is?
