Trump administration 2024-2028

Who needs all those state media outlets beaming truthy shit to Russia, China or Cuba anyway?

Michael Stipe might have something to say about Radio Free Europe being frozen...

OK. Time to be contrary again.

We complain about foreigners interfering in our elections and spouting propaganda.

Tell me again about Voice of America and Soros Open Society Foundations and Color Revolutions?

I know. We're the good guys. ;)

Perhaps some of RFE/RL's statements piss off old enemies/new friends.

Fighting Kremlin Disinformation with the Truth

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and Vladimir Putin’s crackdown on independent media demonstrate why RFE/RL’s Russian-language reporting is more important than ever. After the closure of RFE/RL’s Moscow bureau in 2022 – despite government censorship – RFE/RL’s audience reach in Russia has surged to record numbers at times of uncertainty and crisis. According to an independent 2023 survey, 10 million Russian adults, 9% of the population, consume our content weekly.

Countering CCP Malign Influence & Disinformation

Russian malign influence is not the only threat to democratic values in the countries RFE/RL covers. Chinese propaganda and other forms of destabilizing influence are pervasive and growing. RFE/RL is uniquely positioned to report on Beijing’s foreign policy and financial influence; treatment of its citizens, and Taiwan and Hong Kong; and implications for our local audiences so they can discern the truth.

Generally speaking our issue is with clandestine or surreptitious actions, and that’s generally the line law’s draw too. VoA and RFE have always been utterly overt. They aren’t pretending to be anything they’re not, nor is their source or sponsor obfuscated.

Kinda like the United Front’s activities here. A good chunk of it is right out in the open, if anyone knows Mandarin and is curious enough to look.

Whose law though? Some countries have proclaimed that listening to Voice of America, or BBC for that matter, is a crime.

“When you look at these policies in a macro way, they have a method to them,” said Lloyd Blankfein, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs. “The risk to the markets is dislocation in the short term. But I think our republic will be better off if we spend a few thousand dollars more for a car in return for having a workforce that can make things and can afford what they make.”

The opinion may be a minority opinion but it is not without support.

Totally normal for POTUS to declare his predecessor's pardons are null and of no effect.
Well considering he gave out a lot of term ending pardons as 45, I guess when his time ends this time, no one should expect that 47’s mean anything then…

Setting precedents like this isn’t really bright.

He will probably be reevaluating this choice as the noose around him closes.

Czech Republic wasting no time.

He and his team appear to be operating under the impression that there's no risk of future elections.
