The NDP (Peter Julien, Deputy Leader) said yesterday, to CBC, that if a non confidence vote was needed, they would look at it in late Feb, early March. Not before.

Guess who's pension becomes vested on Feb 25?

Singh and his orange liberal party, will not take trudeau down until he has his pension, period.

-the Cabinet is unravelling in record pace

-byelection loss after loss is whittling away further confidence in caucus that Election 2025 is going to be a Liberal Miracle on Ice

-the NDP tore up the Supply and Confidence agreement, and with it any shred of deniability when the dust settles before the next election.

Jagmeet Singh has sealed his fate and that of his party as accomplices in one of the most dysfunctional governments in Canadian history. He now chooses to tarnish what's left of his political legacy dancing another waltz in hopes of securing his pension.

Looks like a third want his immediate resignation, a third are loyal to the end, and the other third want him gone but are keeping their mouths shut.

PMJT will "take time to think" on what they have said, but I doubt he will do the honorable thing any time soon.

The 1/3 with some form of a backbone should like at sitting as independents going forward and sit out the next vote of confidence and have the bugger go down

The S&C agreement angered a lot of Dippers, but it had a fair amount of leverage to push their policies forward; so it was the political equivalent of Buckley's cough syrup.

Once it was gone, NDP supporters were expecting Singh to show actual leadership and work as the leader of an Opposition party; not that of a member of a quasi-coalition. That didn't happen at all.

From the many Dippers I speak with, they too are asking for an election. It would allow the membership at the grassroots to at least shift from "keep afloat" to "repair and ready for battle" sooner; with less damage actively being taken on day after day in the House.

This is the part that is mind boggling for both LPC and NDP, their leaders are so inward focused on their own ego/benefits that they are willing to sink the futures of their respective parties.

Trudeau strikes me as being the rich white trust fund princess that has a huge ego and is still riding in his mind on his 2015 majority win (He has failed to heed the many subtle warnings in the last 9 years of where he was going wrong). Now he is so far off track that there isn't a chance for him to change course.

Singh, pisses me off beyond belief because at this point we are way beyond telling fables, making excuses and stonewalling. I would respect him more if he just said on TV "Hey bitches, Jaggy wants his big dollars pension than I will kick Justin out..." AT least then he will be honest about it.

Parliament adjourns today until January 27. An election would need to be called before January 20 with the minimum election period of 36 days for Singh's pension to be in jeopardy.

As much as it pains me to say this, if we want to attract top calibre people to run for office, we need to compensate them for the shit and abuse they take. Otherwise politics will only attract bottom feeders, like it does now.

Wages and pensions are based on the idea that a person is putting their life and career on hold while they serve Canada and deserve the compensation for doing so.
