So more of an alliance between like minded English speaking western nations?   Might be a good alternate thread like you said.

Lets reform the british empire.

Your suggestion does have merit though. NATO is at real risk of making itself irrelevant like the UN has done.

Right now te best thing we have is the anglosphere.
Canada should not bet on this too much.
The US is the most powerful country in the world.
Aus, Uk, and NZ are our friends.
I have respect for the Dutch.
In 2 months, 2 years, or 10 years who knows how things will look.

In the end we have to do what is best for Canada.
