Mods dont know where this goes so im going to post it here, feel free to move it.
Disclaimer: This in no way an attempt at American bashing or anything related to anti Americanism just fodder for ...hmmm you know what that is interesting... conversaton. Take it at face value do not misinterpret what is being said here. I was doing a paper on Canadians in the first world war and these thought started poping in. This is by no means meant t be a serious post, so put the safety on and enjoy the observatons.
1) Alexander the great = Eagle on his flag staff( or at least in the movies anyways)
Roman = Eagle on their flag staff
Americans have their Eagle symbolism too, coin, national bird etc..
2)Alexander made every country he conquered a part of Greece
Places in America = Nice, Paris..etc
3) WW1 central powers = German, Austria, Hungary and Italy (italy being sort of an island country..close enough)
America bordered by Canada, mexico and U.K. (U.K. being an island country)
4) Germans dedicated to creating more deadly weapons during world war 1 with the advent of chemical weps eg. mustard and chlorine gas..german engeneering for better dispersment..(tank..initially a british invention ..perfected by the germans)
American Atom bomb, Nuclear bomb, bunker busters..etc
5)Germans only ones to use extereme force of chemical weps(ypres 1916-17 on PPCLI and 1st Canadian div.), when their backs against the wall in order to win the war.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki = A- bomb dropped in order to win the war. Second country to use extreme force in order to win the war
6)this is a blind shot but it may seem relevent to a paranoid mind..pls dont take these points seriously.
Central powers initiate the great war(as recorded in history) as their goals to build a railway free of hinderance straight through Russia to exploit the resources in Asia minor.
War on terrisom turned into hunt for Osama,(wth the lack of Osama's presence) turned into liberation of Afghan people, which turned into hunt for Saddam,(hunt for WMDs) lack thereof turned into liberation of Iraqi people. Observation by the worlds public..a ploy to get to the oil.
Now having said all that, a reminder this is not a serious post and pls treat it as such . This is by no means a question of our involment in afghanistan either. Just some random thoughts that seemed to make sense at the time of posting.
Anyways would like to hear you input, if you believe these thought have nothing in common, or if you have any striking similarites does not have to be about the US. Any thoughts that made sense while having a cup of tims or smoking a cig, that just popped in your head and you said hey that is interesting.
If this comes at a bad time, my apologies this is by no means meant to be disrespectful to past or present service members. pls note I too intend to be a service member at some time in the near future.
