Sonar Op Career Progression

Hello there, I did my interview today for Sonar Op after discussing with the MCC that my 3 initial chosen trades (Med Tech, O.R. Tech, Infantry) weren't currently attainable. I'm scheduled to go for Medical next month as well.

My questions are, what is it like in terms of career progression as a Sonar Operator? Is there any chance of being an officer later on? Or even transferring into any combat arms trades?
