I thought I would share this with y'all.
May 31, 2011, I was on the bus to Ottawa. Now, having been isolated, by being grounded, I had not heard of a soldier's death. Bombardier Karl Manning. was on his way to Toronto. We (my classmates, at the time) and I was unawares, but having seen the two police cars, moving slow, I realized what it was, a reparation ceremony. I alerted the teacher, who then alerted the driver, who actually pulled over, out of respect. We piled off the bus in time to salute the hearse as it drove by.
