Hi @sarahsmom @MedCorps ,
I had my medicals in early December, and I was given the 40+ FDL, which was sent back to the RMO in late December. The Med Tech mentioned that everything looks good, and the family doctor’s report was fine, but the RMO has not yet reviewed it.

I call the recruitment center every day, and they’ve told me they are just waiting for the RMO’s approval before placing me on the competition list. My interview and background check are already complete.

When I did my medicals, there were three positions left, but as of today, only one position remains. I understand these things happen, and the RMO’s approval will eventually come, but I just wanted to rant and get it off my chest.

Is there any way the recruitment center can follow up with the RMO? Also, is it true that the RMO only reviews files two days a week, like on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

Calling them every day is excessive.
There is nothing your recruiting center can do to speed up the process.

My medical took like 7 months in total, it's normal.

Just focus on something else for a few months and wait for them to get back to you.

I know it's stressful but you'll have to deal with this hurry up and wait your whole career.

It might help your anger/anxiety to know that more positions will open up in April, with the new fiscal year. Since your application is essentially 95% done, assuming all goes well one of those positions will very likely be yours.
I don't know about the 2 days a week thing, but the RMO cell is very small to ensure consistency of decisions. There is ONE RMO, with a bunch of assistants, but the final say belongs to the RMO. If they had to spend extra time answering phone calls from the CFRC, they would likely be even slower. Sorry!
