Question About Selected Timeline

Hello,

I am interested in joining the Canadian Army and am currently on the "selected" status. I would like to know how long this step typically takes before receiving an offer.

Additionally, I am applying for the Financial Services Administrator role. Could you please provide information on the rank I would be assigned upon completing basic training and occupational training in this field?

Read through previous posts to get an idea on the timelines. There are hundreds of posts on here you can read through to form a rough idea of how long things will take.

This stage could take anywhere from days to several weeks.

My portal only showed selected for one day.
I also know people who where "selected" but never received an offer.

Everyones situation is different.

You'll be a private. A quick google says to expect 4 years to get to corporal.

During BMQ you will be Pte (R) or Ave (R). The rank after BMQ for FSA is Pte(B). After a few months, when you finish your FSA package/course, you will be Pte(T). You might be Avr (B), and then Avr (T). Or S3 during BMQ, followed by S2 once trained.

For the Reg F, you need to complete BMQ, and then your trade course. Once all that is done, after a minimum of 36 months of service (from the first day of BMQ) to 48 months, you will receive your promotion to Cpl. The rules state 48 months, but at the CO's discretion a member can be promoted as early as 36 months.
Once you are a Corporal, you could stay there your entire career, and there is nothing wrong with that. Less responsibility, less paperwork, more of the fun stuff. Corporal 4 Llife!
Or you could get sent on your 5s, then PLQ, then get promoted to MCpl, then go on your 6s, then get promoted to Sgt. Then do ILQ/ILP (or whatever they are calling the WO's course now) and get promoted to WO. and so on. Keep in mind there are years between each step. Typically you will Cpls do 4 years (at least) as a Cpl and then go on PLQ. 2-3 years as a MCpl before they are eligible for Sgt.

Unlikely your masters will do anything for you. FSA is an entry level job with very few (if any) prereqs.

please I can't access to field application, I got this message An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator. Saml Bad Assertion Error.
