Good Day,
I am at my final stage of application to be a Medical Assistant (Med-A) in the reserve force, I started in September 2024 using pre-existing files from the regular forces (I applied to ROTP but ended up going to a civilian university instead and I am now a full time student there, but they kept my file) completed every step of the application process except for the reliability status (still waiting on that). However I was recently told that the position I was applying to (which had more than 4 spaces and me being the only applicant back in December) was full and now I had to wait for more spaces. I was also told that the unit I applied to, 23rd field ambulance detachment Hamilton, is planning on expanding as a part of the reserves healthcare modernization program.
It is really stressful waiting and I am just wondering on approximately how long the process will take, because my school and person schedule is pretty tightly filled (I plan to take the MCAT in the summer of 2026) and I wish to get BMQ along with occupational training done as soon as possible.
