Meaford mudford remains probably one of the most picturesque training
areas we have. On a nice day you can wander along convincing yourself you
aren‘t even in a military training area. But the mud, however, remains and
can dominate the well-used off-road routes in the wetter seasons. As well,
in the open areas on the west side of the camp, you can still stmble
through the ruts left by Andy‘s Centurion ARV and its black hat fellows.
As for 1RCR‘s spring exercises in Meaford, it was relatively close to
London, had all the space and ranges needed, and remained well away from
the Brigade staff.
