keeping in touch in the army

Hi guys i was just wondering if it possible to purchase a laptop in the army or during basic. i have a wife and 2 small toddlers. i understand  i wont have much contact as my duties will come first but if you are able to purchase a laptop for use when you have free time that would help alot! can anyone help on that?

Similar question to the one above......I have a wife and 2 kids, what is the process of sending packages to st jean, and receiving it? By that I mean the mailing process.

Is it possible to receive phone calls whilst there?
