Anyone know what country this helmet is from?

I'm thinking Soviet Block??? Is there any writing or charactors inside?

Looks like the old East German style, but could also be Rumanian WW2 era ? any writing, numbers inside that could help or even where you got it form?

Noticed that after which would eliminate the possible WW2 options (Rumanian, Dutch, Danish etc.)

If you are in possession of the helmet, I would hazard a guess it is from the FRY.


Many were had on the plenty of tours.  I even had one, before it was stolen from my Kit bag when I was injured and repatriated home.....
