HUMOUR -- Boredom is a soldier's worst enemy

I heard that joke too, but it was set on the west coast between a light house and a US carrier.    :warstory:

Any word from the mythbusting team on whether this actually happened or where/when it happened?

It has been covered here before.  It has also been covered in SNOOPS and MythBusters.

I am sure a Search can turn it up.  :)

When all of you are done debating where that old anecdote actually happened,- if it happened- take a moment to check out the latest bit of craziness posted by the USS Ronald Reagan's crew. Hehehe. ;)

Thanks for the link George, couldnt recall what the mythbusting site was.  Just to show Im not completely lazy, here is the direct link to Snopes and their examination of this joke:

The Swedish Mech. Company attached to the UN contingent in Liberia has its own take of the old "Baywatch" show and boredom. Enjoy this video, titled "UNWATCH" from youtube.

Number one was the rap version.
Number two was the rock version.

Which version did people like better?

I vote for number 2, rock music.

Maybe this says more about me than I want to think, but the first time I read this thread I saw "Borden is a soldier's worst enemy".

Though at least I didn't replace the terminal "y" with an "a"...

Not Bordeny.

Imagine "Borden is a soldier's worst enemy", but replace the "y" at the end of the sentence with an "a".

2 soldiers fooling around on guard duty? Are these CF guys? It looks like it's that desert CADPAT they're wearing!

Happy Canada Day! hehehe.

How many clues do you need that these are US pers, including the signoff - US Soldiers Livinitup, Rufneck Productions??

The video that CougarShark provided has Canadian soldiers in it.

Yep, a pause at the 28 second mark reveals the Canadian Flag on the left shoulder.

The high speed non sparking tacvests also allude to it, along with the PRRs on the left breast of each guy.
