Alexander Graham Bell also invented the telephone. Im sure telephones have some military application lol. At the same time though Alexander Graham Bell technically isnt Canadian he is Scottish born and raised then he emigrated to Canada, not sure if that counts?

Canadian invention developed for military application - G-Suit

In 1940, the anti gravity suit was first invented under the name Franks Flying Suit by Dr. Wilbur R. Franks (RCAF Wing Commander during WW2)  and his colleagues at the Banting and Best Medical Research Institute at the University of Toronto. The suit was made with rubber and water-filled pads. It counteracted the effects of high G forces on aircraft pilots, which otherwise would cause them to black out.  The Franks Flying Suit was the first G-suit. OK, I've got a real gooder!! No-one but me would ever have come up with it.

It can certainly be considered to be of a mechanical nature and consists of over 50 seperate components in it's manufacturing process. It has been used by members of the CF (and other foreign militaries for decades). It's military connection is such that the CF has expended funds trying to improve it's components and capabilites in recent years (much to the chagrin of the MSM!!):

Went out with the Grand daughter of the man that has brought "wonder bra" to the world (yup, just the right size ) A product that came out of Quebec City.

Then the CF was working on a combat bra.... some guy in the US wrote an article that did it's rounds -refered to the research work - describing em as "the cones of death".  Take that "wonderbra"..... how is that for free advertising?
