Exactly! No idea how long need to wait as the gap is too 6-24 months.

I have been waiting for my security screening for almost one year, it can take another year or even longer...

no wonder the success rate for the PR to join is such low...... in between may loss the interest to join in after years waiting time..... given the ages is getting old toooo

Just from curiosity how long takes to get security level 3 clearance.

My file is going through security level 2 clearance and it will take up to 2 years.

In all honesty I do not know. My guess is probably a year or longer.

If it's been more than 1 year since your initial medical you will need to do a medical questionnaire to update the CFRC on your medical condition, and from there they will decide if any part of the medical needs to be redone.

I had done this recently after a pause in my application of just over a year. So in my experience, my medical update consisted of redoing the auditory and visual checks, which may have been an aircrew related necessity. But the rest they just referenced from the previous med exam and asked if there were any notable changes.

So I'd wager you will likely need a med appointment again, but it'll be extremely quick.

5 months isn’t even close to the minimum wait time, the average seems to be a year and half
