    Maritimes Teddy Bears

Apparently some Irving Oil stations in the Maritimes are selling Camo teddy bears with a portion of the proceeds going to mil families.  Some westerners would like to know how to get their hands on one.  Anyone know?

21 years later & I get my shot at Pilot

okay, simplified 20/20 is (i think) the 4th line from the bottom.  Corrected I can read the 2nd from, or the bottom line which varies from 20/15 to 20/13. This has varied year to year for 20 years.  The way the eye test was explained to me was that if you have 20/15 vision you can read a line @...

CBC today "NATO chief rejects claim Canada bears Afghan burden"

I think last year's numbers speak for themselves.

    Laying pipe in Newfoundland.

I'll be honest guys, I don't know a lot of Newfie pipeliners, circus(service) riggers definitely.  Maybe it's because 2 of the 3 local circus rig companies are owned or run by maritimers - which would clearly skew my view of the labour market.

    Laying pipe in Newfoundland.

From what I'm told, some of the best moose hunting on the continent.

    Laying pipe in Newfoundland.

Good eye there, about the only person allowed on a right of way in Alberta without a brain bucket would be the landowner or possibly the consultant.

    Laying pipe in Newfoundland.

I don't know much about NFLD, but it kinda looks more like Central Alberta/Western Saskatchewan to me.  Moose & no trees.  Someone who does a lot of trenching/digging might even be able to pin point where the photo was taken just from what the dirt looks like.

Saudi group wants Canadian oil facilities hit

I'm pretty sure there's no drinking water involved, unless you're just trying to wind up a few western provincial politicians.

    Computer Help

While you're on your way down to Staples... Maybe just make sure you haven't got something muted in the sound control panel.  Check it by double clicking on the speaking icon on the RH bottom of the screen, (single clicking gives you only one volume bar, double clicking gives you all of them). ...

Saudi group wants Canadian oil facilities hit

The damage will be on the futures & stock markets, business types are quite skilled at over reacting to a situation.

    Kneecapping the Troops

"It wouldn't be anything new. Following the massacre of Canadian prisoners by the SS in Normandy, we proved rather difficult to surrender to" Now, now - that's not a fair comment I knew a fella that was a veteran of Normandy & the Scheldt and he swore "they all had ticker problems"  :o

Auditors' report slams Defence over vehicle maintenance

Having worked in a civilian to civilian automotive environment for over 20 years, I can say that any time bean counters get involved in cost control of maintenance it's usually a disaster.  Accountants, as you people like to put it out of their lane.  For example, one company has FIXED the cost...

Two Taliban rockets hit Kandahar Airfield

I was told by the step kid that he couldn't tell us anything, he'll call when safe, I'm not even sure we can share that phone call. Sure is confusing to a d/arse civvie, one forum says you can talk, another says don't.  So I'll just proceed as usual, just tell everyone the truth - I don't know...

Tim Hortons in Theatre Merged Thread (in AFG, no plans to preposition)

Starbucks - good coffee?  The word oxymoron comes to mind.
