Pay: Statements, Backpay, Benefits, Deductions (Taxes, T4), Deployed ect... [MERGED]

Damagedone, My advice is to stay in school, get the 4 years of post-secondary education and go officer if you so desire. More money over time. Should you leave the military for whatever reason, you can fall back on your education and still be gainfully employed. Don't put all your eggs in one...

Are Level III security checks done before attending BMQ??

Not to mention the 152 is REALLY light. As a sigop, I recall the initial process of issuing an enhanced reliability check. During BMQ the process is started for the remainder of the security clearances needed. They come through later on, when you are on or after your QL3 training.  The higher...

Advice for women on BMQ and other courses [MERGED]

To clarify some things. Firstly, there is no Air Reserve BMQ as opposed to Army Reserve BMQ. BMQ regardless if done on weekends (or summer time) as a reservist, or for 13 weeks as a Regular force member, is the same qualification. Am I correct in saying BMOQ and BMQ are different programs? I do not believe they are interchangeable lik you say, and you would have to do it again. Nites

Naughty15tracy's questions about 1980s combats, kit, etc.

I can't say as I have yet to be lucky enough to serve with them. I have not seen any photos of a ranger in webbing or tactical vest either though... May I ask why so many questions? Nites

Rucking with a heavy load and the new rucksack

I am with Kat on this. Epsom soaking works wonders. HOT water. I find my feet absorb the fluid back  and the skin reattaches itself over time. Takes my feet about 12 hours for the most part although I prefer to let them heal for 24-48 hours before subjecting them to more abuse. Nites
