Simple questions on wiki formatting may be left here. To leave a question, either click EDIT at the top of the page, type your question, then click the SAVE PAGE button below the edit window - or just use the + symbol to the right of the edit tab to start a new section.

Add vs. Edit?

I'm admittedly new to the "talk" feature but would it make sense to have editors use the + link (to the right of Edit) to add a question rather than edit the contents of the talk page directly?

Wow

Huh....been using wikipedia for months and never fooled around with the + symbol before. Seems to work nice! Don't forget to sign your name by typing four tildes in a row ~~~~ !! :-) Michael Dorosh 16:29, 17 May 2006 (EDT)

For adding replies, you would still have to EDIT the section; but the + is good for new questions. Thanks for pointing that out! Michael Dorosh 16:30, 17 May 2006 (EDT)

Colour of info boxes

I see you changed the info box of the Winnipeg Rifles to green. Does this mean all rifle regiments are going to be green? I would like to know for future reference so that I can make the change right away. I was wondering if the colours were related to berret colours in any way.

  • I thought because it was a Rifle Regiment it might look good in rifle green with black letters. The colours I've been using so far have been
    • Armoured Regiment: Black (white letters)
    • Infantry Regiment: Scarlet (white letters)
    • Rifle Regiment: Green (black letters)
    • Engineer Regiment: Navy (red letters)
    • Airborne Regiment: Maroon
    • CSOR: Tan

The last two were inspired by beret colour I suppose. :-) Just seemed natural...any suggestions on a better system are ok by me.Michael Dorosh 23:24, 19 May 2006 (EDT)

info box

I assume the info box is that which holds unit crests on the regimental info pages, I would like to add one to the RMR one but Idon't know how. --Hockeysgal 16:43, 20 May 2006 (EDT) hockeysgal

  • Easiest way is to edit one of the pages that does have one by clicking EDIT, then cutting and pasting into your page, and changing the info. I can do it for you if you like, let me know if you're still having trouble.Michael Dorosh 16:44, 20 May 2006 (EDT)
