The Nova Scotia Highlanders are Canada's twenty-fifth most senior Reserve Infantry regiment, and comprises of two battalions serving as part of the Land Force Reserve. The first battalion is called, The Nova Scotia Highlanders (North) and is headquartered in Turro, Nova Scotia. The second battalion is called, The Nova Scotia Highlanders (Cape Breton) and is located in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
