In 1968 the Logistics Branch was formed out of the former Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps, the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, and similar services in the Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force.
In the 1990s, the Administration Branch was absorbed by the Logistics Branch.
The Branch administers several trades in both the commissioned and non-commissioned ranks. Tradesmen of the Logistics Branch often serve directly in units of The Combat Arms, in such trades as Storesman, MSE Op (Driver) or Clerk.
