WWII Service Record Abbreviations

I am trying to decipher the abbreviations from my father‘s WWII service record. He was in the Royal Canadian Engineers. Some have been relatively easy, such as T.O.S. (taken on strength), others such as S.O.S, I haven‘t been able to figure out as I don‘t have any personal military experience. I have too many to list here, so if anyone can help me, please contact me by email.
