Who can get into courses which are required for SF?

Basicially, I was wondering how people who aren't infantry would get into CSOR or JTF2 as operators/assaulters. They say that people from all 3 forces can apply, but I can't see any way that a non-infantry soldier, or anyone from the Navy or Air Force could get accepted to Pathfinder, Para, DZ/LZ, etc. courses in order to qualify. Even the MTOG who's training would obviously give them a good base for success don't seem qualified without the other courses. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me, as I'm quite confused. Thanks, guys!

Who said you needed Pathfinder, Para, etc. courses in order to qualify?

If you get selected as an Assaulter, they'll teach you all you need to know.

A lot of the Infantrymen who apply for CANSOF are not jumpers, LZ/DZ Controller, etc.  You just need to be trade qualified to apply.


Also, plenty of non Infantry/Combat Arms pers have made it as Operators/Assaulters. 

You also don't need to be Infantry to be Course loaded on Basic Para, etc.

I think you'll find that they're looking for people that are fit, motivated, have the aptitude to learn what they want them to learn and personality/maturity fit in where they want them to fit in.
