When is the Master Gunner Course for Leopard in Canadian?!?!?

The Master Gunner Crse is an all Arms crse that involves a lot of technical calculations, with a difference between what the NCM's must do and what the officers must do. It involves visiting various companies that produce munitions and systems. It is quite a prestigious qualification to attain. Old Sweat may be better to elaborate on what it all entails. It definitely is nothing like the Advance Armour Gunnery Crse.

Perhaps someone from the School could confirm that those have all disappeared......Although, there must be some plan for AIGs in the future.

I was told by a friend (NCM) that the officers were delving a little more in the 'mathematics' portions. (this is the difference I was referring to.) Other than that he said that it was conducted as you mention.

Lt(?) Ehlers, the title of your post is miss leading, since it looks you're talking about some course associated with the Leopard tank, and only lasts 40 days
The Master Gunner course, actually the Army Technical Warrant Officer Course Program (ATWO), is run at Royal Military College, and lasts far more than 40 days.

AIGs are trained through the Army Direct Fire Specialist course which is run from January to February every year at the RCAC School by the Army IG Team. When I did the course, it was divided into a 25mm portion and a 120mm portion but from what I understand they were run concurrently on the last session. Also, the QS and TP are currently undergoing a re-write that will see the course change in to two separate courses.
