Seriously, though. Did you read Loring-Villa‘s book? Unauthorized Action is the one that the miniseries was based on. I thought it was quite good, but am not in a position to debate whether it was accurate or not. It seemed like he did his homework. I have an updated addition which included an extra chapter.
Denny Whitaker and his wife Shelagh also wrote about the Dieppe Raid, but I think that book has been dismissed in some quarters as mere apologia.
Are there other recent books which you have read on the subject? I‘d be interested in their titles and your opinions on them.
