Just clear up from a Winter Storm and ole Mother Nature slams in with another and brings in a few high winds and frigid temps to boot.  So what is next in store for us?  Another one in two days?  Damn........the plow just went by.

Just be thankful it is not warmer and the snow is not freezing rain. I looked at the Franktown weather radar at 0730 and the storm was just about to hit here in Kemptville. Sure enough as I looked out the window the snow started and it is still coming down.

For all you folks in Atlantic Canada, BOHICA! Especially you, MR.

LOL
I'm watching the radar from Chipman.  The first line is about to hit, though the first wave is rather meagre.  Well, I've got booze stockpiled, the neighbour is chomping at the bit to get out and plow (just need some snow first, I suppose!)  "Since I've got nowhere to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

;D

boooo.  Hubby is out shovelling - nice HLTA present, welcome home hon, here's the shovel.  ;D  I am so over winter and it just started.... I really hope we (eastern Ontario) don't get the same snowfall amounts as last year, it wasn't a great first impression.

All I can say is I'm reminded of my first day of school here in Victoria 28 years ago - and it hasn't changed here at all.  Glad I kept my snow shovel when I moved from Borden...

Lucky you, George.  Here in the Seaway Valley I haven't seen a plow yet.

Glad I've got a 4X4.

The storm has moved through us. In fact I went outside about half an hour ago to shovel. I was just starting when the town sidewalk plow came along. No, it's not what you think. We are on a corner of a T-junction with one leg a dead end. The regular plough goes down and back and then pushes a lot of the accumulated snow onto the front of our lot so as to provide a clear view for traffic. This invariably means we get some pushed onto part of our driveway, which gives me a bit extra to shovel. Quite a bit actually. Anyway the sidewalk plow guy saw what I was faced with and cleared my driveway. Guess it pays to give the work crew cold drinks when they are sweating in front of the house in the summer.

One good turn deserves another so I went up the street to see if our neighbour (he is posted to HQ RC(S) at KAF) needed help with her driveway. She didn't as she has contracted somebody to do their double driveway.

Now I'm ready for the next storm.

I WANT SSSNNNOOOWWW!!!!!!!!!!! :crybaby: :crybaby:

8° Celsius outside. :( :(

Same here.  About to go out Four Wheeling.   ;D

Had my machine out yesterday.  Might as well use the ATV trails.  O.P.P just closed the 401 from kilometer 796 east to the Quebec border.

It just started here in the Gagetown area.  Going to be some bad roads out there by morning!

I'm glad I'm out of there for Christmas  ;D.  If it keeps snowing I'm going to have fun digging my car out when I get back  ::).  Just hope it turns to rain before it hits the Rock (**Praying for rain**).

Been snowing here on Vancouver Island for about four days straight now - abundant visible proof available that most Islanders forget how to drive properly once snow hits the ground...

I'm pretty sure SPV by now has it buried.

Reminds of my first winter here in 1996 during the Blizzard of 1996 but at least the roads ARE clear this time!!!!!!

The day I did my driver's test IN VICTORIA 5 inches of snow fell on the ground - I apparently made an illegal lane change, not that you could see the lanes.  Despite that, I passed.  And yes, people here don't know how to drive in snow - or on a clear day with dry roads for that matter  ;D.

Well NL E, just talking to my Bro in tenton; he was suppose to fly outta there tonite on a military milk run to 'town'. He's hopin' to make another go at 'er tomorrow night....I told him better late than never and George Street aint goin' no-where!  ;D

Yeah, well its been so hot here today we might have a thunder storm tonight! Terrible...

I wish i was over there for my Christmas holidays, i've never seen real snow before, i reckon it'd be quite nice. Not sure how's i'd go with dropping the temp +50 degree's and getting some -25 Celsius action though, probably have to wear a big jacket and a sheep on my head (because knitting wool into a beany really loses a lot of the sheeps natural warmth).
