Wanting unpopular posting

I want to be posted to RCACS in Gagetown for more stability in terms of family life. I hear most people don't want to be posted to the school because of it being boring, either driving for courses, or just not deploying. Can I ask to be posted to RCACS next posting season or am I at regiment until the end of my contract?

You can ask, for sure.  Postings and TOS aren't linked at the hip.

Just to note, though, I've known guys who were posted to the College of Knowledge who spent a great deal of the year in PV and the Lawfield when posted there;  I think there was one case of 8+ months (back in the *A Sqn 8CH was the tank sqn & belonged to the School* days, so a while ago but...).  You likely know the deal, leave for PV on Sun night/early Mon morning, back in Friday gig.
