To the fin clerk who wanted a specific example of how the pay system is still below standard.
1 On the 30 of April pay run, soldiers in LFAA maybe other areas did not receive a pay statment except for their pill. Thus the soldier can not verify if he received the correct amount of pay for the correct number of days at the correct pay rate. This is not the only time that this has happened in the past year. If you wish I can do a little research and give you the dates.
2 On a soldiers pay stub, the following terms regularly show up "miscellaneous deducations or credits." It then takes the member about three months to find out what this credit or debit was for. Again unacceptable.
3 There are still number of soldiers who are being paid at the wrong rank or incentitive. This may not be a problem with the system, rather the people working it.

Don‘t get me wrong the fin clerks at the unit level deserve a pat on the back Can you still do that today. However, to say that we have made great improvments over the past couple of years doesn‘t cut it. The pay system is still unacceptable.

Fin clerk is you need more examples, have a chat with your soldiers.
