I would imagine about 100,000 soldiers stationed or training there have
asked themselves the same question over the years. I suppose the purpose
is to teach humility, perserverance, and the elemental Canadian response
to such things, "builds character": extremely cold in the winter and hot
and dusty in the summer. Water: unpalatable. Sand and bugs: everywhere.
The poor man‘s Wainwright. They should give it back to the Indians, and
MAKE THEM TAKE IT!
