Hi, I am in Perth Western Australia and am helping my 64 year old neighbour find out some information about her father who served with the Canadian Forces. My neighbour never met her father and it would mean the world to her to have any information about him. My dream would be to find her a photograph of him. We have been unable to find any other relatives so the only chance I have is to find someone who served with him in the military.

I have his Attestation Papers from the Canadian Forces:

Name: Wilfred Joseph Hermenegilde DUQUETTE
DOB: 13 April 1903
Date of Death:
Unit: Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal Casf.
Regimental number: D61815
Commenced active service: 19 February 1940
Place he commenced active service: D.D. #4
He served outside of Canada in the Army.
The cause of discharge is listed as R.O. 1029-5c(ii) (place D.D. #4)

If anyone has any information that might assist me or any suggestions as to the further research I could do, I would really, really appreciate it.

I have already written to Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal, 3721 Henri-Julien

Montreal, QC H2X 3H4 to see if they can help at all.

Kind regards
Karen
