Glasses for basic

Now I understand that eyeware will be provided from the forces but will they provide them when i go to basic? Or will I be using my own glasses for basic and then gettin issued the BC glasses after that?

Could I use these if i have to use my own for basic.

I don‘t know if your going Reserve or Regular, but at St-Jean for the Reg Force you won‘t get issued glasses until the second half or so of the course, so definately bring your own glasses (I‘d recommend two pairs in case).

Those glasses look like they could be handy in an infantry unit or something, but they look like they are overkill for Basic Training and you could get some ribbing.

Thanks, the only reason i ask is my glasses are gettin pretty old and I don‘t know how much of a beating they‘ll take. Plus my prescription is gettin fairly old. If I get in it would be a pain to get coverage that‘ll help pay for glasses right after buying a new pair.

I don‘t want to suck at basic with a rifle when it‘s because of my eyes
