hi i am 6‘1 166 pounds and i have no clue how many situps and pushups i am supposed to do i am just wanting to know so i can trian at home before i join! i searched some cdnarmy sites and i couldnt find any charts but when my girlfriend in the States said there is a chart on the pushups and situps and a whole bunch of other stuff on the us army basic training site is basic the same or is the american charts different from the Canadian army basic training charts? Life is what you make you can only be defeated when you defeat yourself :cdn:

Minimum Performance Objectives for Men

Test Item

Push-ups
Under 35 years of age 19
35 and Older 14

Sit ups
Under 35 years of age 19
35 and Older 17

Hand Grip (in kilograms)
Under 35 years of age 75
35 and Older 73

Aerobic Fitness equivalent to acceptable rating for 2.4 km run


Yes you can train at home. If you‘re in so-so physical shape and don‘t know where to start, its better to join a fitnes club and get some advice.
